Privacy Policy

DONE(kinda) is a personal planner. Your data stays on your phone.

What we collect

Nothing leaves your device unless you explicitly export it. The app stores:

• The to-dos, events, habits, notes, and tags you create
• Your settings and preferences (theme, font size, notification schedule, etc.)
• Achievements and statistics derived from your activity

This data lives in your phone's local storage. It is not sent to any server. There is no Donekinda account, no cloud sync, no analytics, no advertising network.

Permissions

The app asks for these Android permissions only when you turn the related feature on:

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): to fire reminders for to-dos with a scheduled time, and the optional morning briefing. Configurable in Settings → Notifications.
• Location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): to fetch the local weather for the optional weather flourish on the Day tab. Configurable in Settings → Extras → Weather. Your coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo's public weather API once per fetch and not stored by us. Turn weather off to revoke this entirely.
• Vibration: for haptic feedback on swipes, long-presses, and the rage-shake gesture.

Data export and deletion

You control your data:

• Export any time from Settings → Data → Export. Produces a JSON file you can save anywhere.
• Import the same JSON to restore on another device.
• Factory reset wipes all local data from Settings → Data → Reset.
• Uninstalling the app deletes everything except any export files you saved elsewhere.

Third-party services

The only outside service the app talks to is Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com), used solely to fetch current weather conditions when you have weather enabled. Open-Meteo receives your approximate coordinates (rounded to the nearest 0.1° of latitude and longitude) and nothing else, and Donekinda does not retain a copy of the response beyond a 30-minute local cache.

The app uses no analytics services. No Google Analytics, no Firebase Analytics, no crash reporting that phones home.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. Since we collect no personal information, there is also no risk of inadvertently collecting it from a child.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes that affect data handling will be flagged inside the app.
